USAHEC Fieldtrips

The U.S. Army War College Heritage and Education Center field trip is available for all public, private, religious, and home schools. Our free program on the Army Heritage Trail features costumed living history demonstrations that connect the generations of the Army’s past with your Army of today. The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center incorporates a diverse array of standards-based content aligned to the curriculum used in your classrooms every day, across all subjects.

Our field trip program aligns with these learning objectives and goals:

  • Provide students from grades 4--12 an educational experience that cultivates a sense of civic stewardship, expanding their understanding of the enduring bond between American citizens and our Army.
  • Demonstrate a connection between professions in the historical U.S. Army and the modern opportunities of today.
  • Discover how History, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and the Arts applied in the U.S. Army promote learners to ask questions, engage in discussions, and develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
