The role of the Director of the USAHEC is to primarily oversee the center's operations and lead its mission of preserving and disseminating the history and heritage of the U.S. Army. Greta Braungard
Chief, Academic Library Division
The Academic Library Division facilitates access to the materials of the USAHEC by providing research guidance, instruction, and circulation for the students, staff, and faculty of the U.S. Army War College. Delivering the latest resources on curricular and research subjects, librarian liaisons connect with USAWC faculty based on their specific subject matter. The USAWC patrons are also served by the ALD through over 100 databases containing thousands of journals for academic research. By providing reservations for material viewing within the USAHEC, the ALD also connects the collections to academic researchers and the American public.

Col Timothy Baer
Acting Chief, Education and Engagement Division
The Education and Engagement Division creates and executes educational programs, general public programs, complimentary academic programs, and exhibits, connecting our varied audiences to the collections in person and on-line. We also inform our patrons about the USAHEC’s many programs, exhibits, and services through our informational outreach. This includes website development and management, social media presence, and other traditional media resources. Finally, we develop and manage our regular and student volunteers/interns that support the USAHEC mission. Explore the website to learn more about all of these resources!
