From Dragoons to Air Cavalry: Army Heritage Days Returns to AHEC
Army Heritage Days are back at the AHEC. After two years the Army Heritage and Education Center is pleased to announce the return of our popular Army Heritage Days weekends. This year instead of one Army Heritage Weekend we will be hosting two! The first Army Heritage Days weekend in September we will have live demonstrations of a horse cavalry charge by the living history group Horses in Action and a Huey flyover by Liberty Warbirds. To witness these amazing events, please join the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania for Army Heritage Days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 and Sunday, September 11, 2022.
The event continues inside the Visitor and Education Center where visitors can listen to lectures, visit the military model displays, and participate in our very popular Veterans Meet and Greet. The USAHEC encourages all Veterans to fill out one of our Veteran Surveys in order to have your story preserved for future generations as part of the USAHEC collection.
The event is free and open to the public. As always, the USAHEC’s exhibits, will be open. Don’t forget to grab lunch at one of the many food vendors throughout the event, and feel free to browse the museum store. Parking is also free, and the USAHEC facility is handicapped accessible.
